Your CEO
On July 11th 2021, Cy’Myia Jordan was crowned Miss Missouri Jr. PreTeen Covergirl, under the National American Miss Pageant. Along with this title comes responsibilities. Cy’Myia’s community service platform is Feeding The Hungry. Under this platform Cy’Myia volunteers @ the St. Louis Food Bank in Bridgeton. But that’s not enough! On August 10th 2021, Cy’Myia decided to pay her Mayor a visit. Cy’Myia met with Mayor Mike Moeller of Maryland Heights. She was asked “What is it you want to see happen in the Maryland Heights community?” Cy’Myia stated “I want people who are hungry to be able to get food when they need it.” “I want Blessing Boxes set up around the community, stocked with can goods, dry pasta, crackers, snacks etc. Stuff that people my need right then but don’t have the money to buy.” This is a project Mayor Moeller promises Cy’Myia to make happen. But that’s not all. Cy’Myia’s gift of giving isn’t limited to just her community of Maryland Heights. On July 27th 2021, Cy’Myia participated in her very first Back To School Drive here at the church. She had her own table set up with pencils, rulers, crayons, glue sticks and more. She even donated a book bag to the School Drive all bought with her own money! Cy’Myia was so happy that her donations would help kids in need. Cy’Myia participated in another Back To School in Drive on August 7th. This time it was @ her local Walmart where she collected two full baskets of school supplies from Walmart customers.
Road Trip! On August 21st, Cy’Myia was invited to join her sister Queens in the Annual Parksville Parade in Parksville Mo. Knowing that would be a four hour drive didn’t stop Cy’Myia. With the parade starting @ 9:00am, Cy’Myia and Mom were on the road by 4:15am. The parade was a success!
Back home in Maryland Heights, Cy’Myia hadn’t missed a beat! Back to volunteering and making donations. Cy’Myia was very proud of her clothes and shoes donation. She was able to bag up two trash bags full and drop them off @ clothes and shoes GreenCity Project Bins located on her local Schnucks lot. This was a good day for Cy’Myia! With more good days coming, one in particular was the Lupus Walk in Chesterfield. After explaining what Lupus was and why it’s so important, Cy’Myia was more than happy to help out! So on September 18th, Cy’Myia volunteered @ her first walk. Cy’Myia had so much fun and said “It was the best experience ever!” So with that being said, are there any other walks in the future? Well of course! On October 9th 2021, Cy’Myia will participated in the St. Louis-Autism Speaks walk at The Muny Upper Parking Lot in Forest Park. Cy’Myia will be walked for Dj, her little cousin. Not wanting to toot her own horn, Cy’Myia is very much aware of just how Awesome she really is. I mean come on, she did receive a Spirit of Excellence Award in recognition of Academic Excellence!!!
